Lighting

Interior Lighting

Mostly we are using cans in the ceilings everywhere in the main house and the cottage. There are just a few additional lights.
The electrical work for the cans was done early on in the construction process, but the cans themselves are yet to be installed.
These are the lights which I selected on the recommendation of our electrician, Scott Demartini.
Update: These lights have been installed in much of the main house.

Update: These lights have been installed in the closets in the main house.
Update: I ordered the incidental (and exceptional) interior lights from Rebecca Delich at The Lighting Design Center in Santa Rosa August 3, 2012.

Update July 6, 2012: We will need four of them. We ended up needing five.
Installed in the hallway. They are perfect.
Master bath:
Update July 6, 2012: It appears from the redesign of the master bath vanity area that there will be room for a light between the two medicine cabinets (22-23 inches according to Jon's calculations).
Norwell, Nexus, Model 9603-BN-SO, 9.4H x 23W x 6.25P, triple, satin nickel
Update prior to August 3, 2012: I chose single light versions of the Norwell, Model 9601-BN-SO, satin nickel. I ordered three of them.

The lights installed. The third is to the right of the photo on the other side of the medicine cabinet.
My studio:
Besa ITC 420152BR, 10.5". It also comes in 14".
From Berkeley Lighting in Berkeley
Update July 6, 2012: We will need two of them. They will be placed on either side of the sky light.
Update January 23, 2013: These lights have been installed in my studio. They will actually hang a little lower when the project is complete. They are coiled up a bit for safe keeping.
Kitchen/art storage
Ceiling-mounted florescent lights would be fine in this area but I am open to other suggestions. Shown here in its ugliest form in my soon-to-be demolished garage.
Update prior to electrical work: I decided to put cans in this area.

Exterior Lighting
I have already purchased three of the lights to the left. Hinkley Lighting H1107 Asian themed one light outdoor wall sconce from the Mission Collection, Sienna. The one shown in the photo is next to the front door of the main house.

Here is one next to my studio door. The other two are on either side of the cottage main doors.

I have this light. It can be used on the cottage next to Katherine's office door. It is the same fixture as the one next to the kitchen door.
Update August 3, 2012: I ordered two of these exterior lights from Rebecca Delich at The Lighting Design Center in Santa Rosa August 3, 2012. On August 28, 2012, I ordered one more to go next to the Kitchen/Art Storage door.
Five of these fixtures are in place: the original one next to the kitchen door; the one above next to Katherine's office side door; and new ones on the side of the main house, next to the kitchen/art storage door, and next to the cottage storage room door.
Here is one on the cottage.

Back covered porch:
On August 3, 2012 I ordered an overhead light, a Kichler 10957 Craftsman/Mission Two Light Outdoor Ceiling Fixture from the Alameda Collection.
